Tara was born June 10, 1982 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania into a family of a rich oil executive/lawyer and a secretary. Training since an early age, Lipinski made it to the very top in the world of figure skating. She won the gold on the Olympic Games in Nagano in 1998. She also played in Ice Angel, 7th Heaven, and more.
