Shalita was born August 28, 1988 in Baltimore, Maryland. Her by far most famous role is an agent Sonja Percy on criminal TV series NCIS: New Orleans. Her other appearances were on Bones, Mercy Street, and Melissa & Joey. Grant studied at prestigious Julliard School. She received scholarship and pursued her B.F.A. degree in Drama there. Shalita graduated in 2010. Her career is slowly rising ever since.

I said, ‘Yeah, I think so.’ He said, ‘You should audition to Julliard.’ I was like, ‘What’s that?’ I’m accepted to Julliard, and I realize within the first couple of weeks just how lucky I was to be in the program.
